{"id":737,"date":"2019-08-27T10:58:24","date_gmt":"2019-08-27T10:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cowala.co.nz\/?p=737"},"modified":"2019-08-27T23:43:16","modified_gmt":"2019-08-27T23:43:16","slug":"date-1-may-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cowala.co.nz\/?p=737","title":{"rendered":"Date: 1 May 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Pharmaceutical production standards makes GMP Dairy Limited the first New Zealand infant formula manufacturer to be registered by China<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p> GMP Dairy Limited has been informed by the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) that it is the first to be registered by the Chinese government for the export of Infant Formula products to China. According to MPI, the company did not need to take any corrective actions to meet the Chinese requirements. Based on the list of manufacturers published last night on the Chinese authorities\u2019 website, GMP Dairy is one of the eight infant formula manufacturers who have been registered. From 1st May 2014 (today), non-registered foreign manufacturers of infant formula will not be allowed to export infant formula to China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In March 2014 as part of the registration process, four officials from the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the Peoples Republic of China (CNCA) accompanied by officials from MPI visited selected New Zealand\u2019s infant formula plants as part of the MPI systems audit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>GMP Dairy\u2019s factory is located in Auckland and holds HACCP and RMP quality systems registration which are essential for dairy manufacturing in New Zealand. It also utilises Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard for the manufacture of infant formula. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>GMP Dairy has implemented pharmaceutical production standards for the production of infant formula products. This improvement in production standards reflects China\u2019s increased standards for infant formula as indicated in Opinions on Further Strengthening the quality and safety of infant formula milk powder work issued by China&#8217;s State Council on 21 June 2013. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>GMP Dairy has benefited from the knowledge and experience of its parent company, GMP Pharmaceuticals, which has over 20 years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing in Australia and New Zealand. GMP Pharmaceuticals has three manufacturing plants specialising in complementary medicines and dairy supplements.
